WHAT’S THE GROOVE?
Groove is not the beat. It’s the moment the body trust the music.
It’s the moment sound stops being something we hear, and becomes something we follow. Groove is a personal feeling that moves through our bodies and hearts, through our memories and thoughts. When it’s there, we stop trying to understand it simply brings us back into our bodies.
What’s The Groove? is all about that feeling: MAIKY takes the intimacy of her earlier, piano based work and brings it into a more rhythmic electronic world, blending melodic house, leftfield house and minimal grooves, or as she likes to call it:
Deep Emotional Dance.
Sitting on the fine line between deep listening and dancefloor movement.
The album invites the audience into a space where they can let go and set themselves free.
CONTENT
LIVE AT NORDKETTE
Full-album live session filmed at 2,300 meters above sea level, in collaboration with Nordkette in the Austrian Alps.
A 35 minutes live electronic set, transforming the tracks into live versions using Ableton Live and synths. The session brings the album out of the studio and into the mountains as a live electronic performance played on the snow, in the open air.
BEHIND THE SCENES
Opening the world behind the album track by track.
In each video, MAIKY plays early versions, shares the inspiration behind the track, and highlights the moments she loves most. The series lets the audience enter her creative world: the feeling, the story, and the decisions that shaped each idea into the final track.

RELEASE STRATEGY

LIVE SESSION LAUNCH
Full 35-minute album live session on YouTube, introduced by two announcement reels. On release day, an additional reel and a dedicated campaign will drive viewers to YouTube.

THREE-TRACK WATERFALL
Two to four weeks later, three focus tracks will be released one month apart. After the waterfall, the full album will be released.

TRACK-BY-TRACK STORYTELLING
One week before each single, a Behind the Scenes video will reveal the story, inspiration and creative process behind the track.

LIVE SESSION EXCERPTS
On each single release day, a reel from the live session will feature that song, connecting the streaming release to the visual performance.

PAID CAMPAIGNS
Paid media will support each track through behind the scenes content and live-session excerpts. YouTube promotion will focus mainly on Google, while streaming campaigns will focus mainly on Meta.
ABOUT
MAIKY
MAIKY (Maya Margolin) is a multi-instrumentalist, electronic producer and composer shaping emotional electronic music through live instruments, cinematic sound design and groove-driven production. Her sound blends soft, dreamlike atmospheres with a groove that kicks from underneath, creating immersive worlds for deep listening and live dance performance.
